Each plan level offers a different mix of monthly costs and coverage. How much you pay depends on the plan you choose, where you live, your household size, income and any financial help you qualify for.

Is a gold level health insurance plan right for me?

If you or your family expect to use health care regularly in 2027, or have high health care needs, a Gold level plan may be a good fit. Gold plans generally have a higher monthly premium than Silver and Bronze, but may help you pay less out-of-pocket when you receive care.
Consider both how often you expect to need care and how much you can afford to pay each month when comparing plans.

Your monthly premium is only part of your overall health care costs. Deductibles, copays, coinsurance and other out-of-pocket costs can effect how much you pay throughtout the year. Looking at the full picture can help you decide the best option.

A BCBSTX Gold Plan could be right for you if you expect:

Hospital Care

Potential procedures or hospital stays

Prescription Costs

Regular or multiple medications

Emergency Care

A chance of needing emergency services
